After you by Jojo Moyes
Lou Clark has lots of questions. Like how it is she's ended up working in an airport bar, spending every shift watching other people jet off to new places. Or why the flat she's owned for a year still doesn't feel like home. Whether her close-knit family can forgive her for what she did eighteen months ago. And will she ever get over the love of her life. What Lou does know for certain is that something has to change. Then, one night, it does. But does the stranger on her doorstep hold the answers Lou is searching for - or just more questions?Close the door and life continues: simple, ordered, safe.Open it and she risks everything. But Lou once made a promise to live. And if she's going to keep it, she has to invite them in . . .
Oh Jojo Moyes, you've done it again. You had me bawling my eyes out even as I reread your first magical book Me Before You and you had me sobbing as you broke my heart yet again in After You.
I was worried, I will admit. What could you possibly have to add to such a perfect first book? And what a state Louisa was in. Such a wretched fate you gave her. But she's a fighter, and despite all the misery she never really gives in - and life keeps living after all.
This second book is not as gripping as the first. It's not as romantic. And for some reason I had the strangest flash of deja vu two times throughout the book. I've not been able to figure out what certain passages reminded me off, but I really did feel like I reread something I'd read before - except I obviously haven't. However, those particular parts are something seen before in books/films so that's probably it. What's really brilliant about this book is Lou's perseverance. Her strength. Her love. Her willpower. Once again Jo, may I call you that?, you write an amazing gripping story that I couldn't possibly put down till the last page had been read. Thank you for that. Thank you for telling us what came before - and what happens after.

Den lyder rigtig god, men jeg er både små skeptisk, samtidig kan jeg heller ikke rigtig vente med at læse den ;) hehe
